1.「Sound absorption x Sound insultation x Sound absorption」is how it achieves its high soundproofing effect

When planning soundproofing measures, it is important to use a combination of "sound absorption (holding in the sound)" and "sound insulation (reflecting the sound)".
The OtegaRoom is created using a sound insulating material, which is held between the sound absorbing materials, enabling an average reduction of about 15 dB of sound. (See below)

2. Effective against deep bass

There are many types of sounds, however it is said to be considerably difficult to prevent mid-to-low range sounds.
That being said, the OtegaRoom uses a material called ‘phenolic resin sound absorbing material’ (*) that absorbs sound in the mid-to-low range, which is rare among sound absorbing materials.

※Phenolic resin sound absorbing material has a structure of open cells that foams and thermosets. Since it has a high density of bubbles, it’s structure makes it difficult for air to pass through, which prevents sound transmission. It is thought that the main reason why the phenolic resin sound absorbing material is effective for the mid-to-low range is that it receives the frequency tightly in a uniform manner, resulting in high transparency despite its light mass.

3. Set up the OtegaRoom without the need of a contractor

You can set up the OtegaRoom from the day the product arrives. By following the instructions, even those who are not used to DIY can finish assembling it in about an hour.
Moreover, the construction can be carried out entirely without noise, so you can assemble it without disturbing those around you.

A ventilation port is provided at the top, providing air flow inside the room.

Wire holes are provided at the top and bottom.
